(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 시민.환경단체와 소통강화를 위해 ‘열린 환경방’을 운영한다.
유훈수 시 환경국장은 인천시에서 환경직렬로 그간 업무를 수행하면서 무수한 인천시 환경현안을 접했고, 이에 대한 해법을 찾는 데는 시민ㆍ환경단체와의 소통이 무엇보다 중요하다고 늘 생각해 왔다.
이에 지속가능한 인천시 환경정책을 위해 시민의 작은 소리도 귀 담아 듣고자 10월부터‘열린 환경방’을 운영한다.
‘열린환경방’은 매월 둘째주 수요일 오후 환경국장실을 시민들에게 개방함으로 환경이슈에 대한 다양한 건의사항을 수렴하고 토론하는 환경 공론의 장으로 운영할 계획이다.
아울러, 환경이슈에 대한 초기단계부터 시민들과 소통하여 시민들의 의견에 대한 이행여부가 제대로 반영되고 있는지를 확인할 수 있도록 환경영향평가툴도 만들어 운영할 계획이다.
장정구 인천녹색연합 정책위원장은 “산재한 인천시 환경현안을 풀어 가는데 있어 소통채널을 만들어 주셔서 감사하다”며“앞으로 환경단체와의 깊이 있는 대화의 장을 마련해 나갔으면 한다”고 말했다.
유훈수 시 환경국장은“환경단체를 비롯한 일반 시민들과 소수 단체의 목소리를 가까이 듣기 위해‘열린 환경방’을 운영하게 됐다”며 “시민 가까이 소통하며 한마디도 허투루 듣지 않고 원칙과 신념으로 환경정책을 수행 하겠다”고 말하며 이어 시민들이 쾌적하고 안전한 환경에서 생활을 영위 할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다고 밝혔다.
한편, 인천시 ‘열린 환경방’은 매월 둘째 수요일(10월은 14일) 오후 1시부터 18시까지 운영되며, 방문을 원하시는 시민․환경단체는 인천시 누리집에 접속하여 분야별→환경→통합게시판→열린환경방에서 들어가 사전신청하면 된다.
