브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이준석 국민의힘 대표는 28일 "당 안에 있는 잠재 후보군은 당 밖에 있는 범야권 후보군이 함께할 수 있도록 우려 섞인 비판의 메시지는 자제할 것을 권하겠다"고 밝혔다.
정치권에선 복당 이후 연일 윤석열 전 검찰총장을 향해 비판의 목소리를 내고 있는 홍준표 국민의힘 의원을 겨냥해 말한 것으로 받아들이고 있다.
이준석 대표는 이날 오전 국회에서 열린 최고위원회의에서 대선 승리를 위한 '비빔밥론'을 언급하며 "국민에게 내놓기 전에 비빔밥에 아직 빠진 재료들이 좀 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
특히 이준석 대표는 야권 대통합을 위해 일괄 복당도 추진하기로 했다. 그는 "7월1일부터 7월8일까지 대선을 앞두고 범야권 대통합을 위한 일괄복당신청 기간을 두겠다"며 "탄핵 이후를 기점으로 정치적인 사유로 탈당 및 분당 등으로 당에 함께 하지 못하는 분들에 대해 크게 문호를 열 것이고 큰 결격사유가 없는 경우 모두 받아들이겠다"고 강조했다.
이 대표는 또한 대선 경선과 관련해서도 "당의 대선 주자군은 국민에게 호소력 있는 정책과 메시지를 많이 발굴해달라"며 "범여권에서 획책하는 비열한 네거티브에는 대응을 최소화 해야 한다"고 강조했다.
이어 "지난 서울시장 보궐선거에서 소위 생태탕으로 상징되는 막무가내식 네거티브는 정권심판에 대한 국민의 열망 앞에서 힘을 발휘하지 못했다"며 "저들이 낮게 가면 우리는 높게 갈 것이고 저들이 높게가면 더 높게가는 방식으로 승부하겠다"고 했다.

국민의힘 대변인 선발 오디션 '나는 국대다' 16강전에 대해서는 "당의 대변인이 될 분들이 8명으로 압축됐다. 다른 채널을 합쳐 3만명 이상이 시청했고 현재까지 33만명이 영상을 열람했다"며 순조롭게 진행되고 있다고 했다.
그러면서 "민주당과 청와대는 젊은세대의 정치 참여 욕구에 대해 파격 발탁이라는 방식으로 임하고 있고 우리 역시 공정경쟁선발의 방식을 채택했다. 우리는 이 승부에 있어서 국민의 지지를 받을 자신감이 있고, 꼭 훌륭한 대변인을 선발해서 국민과 당원의 관심에 보답하겠다"고 덧붙였다.
