브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 송영길 더불어민주당 대표와 이준석 국민의힘 대표가 12일 만찬회동에서 합의한 전국민 재난지원금 합의가 자리를 뜬지 100분만에 백지화됐다.
송영길 대표와 이준석 대표는 이날 서울 여의도 한 식당에서 회동을 가진 뒤, 재난지원금 지급 대상을 현행 소득 하위 80%가 아닌 전국민으로 확대하는데 합의했다고 밝혔다.
민주당 고용진, 국민의힘 황보승희 수석대변인은 "여야 대표 만찬회동은 약 1시간 15분 가량 동안 화기애애하게 진행됐다"면서 "(재난지원금 지원 관련) 두 대표는 전국민에게 지급하는 방향으로 하는 게 맞지 않느냐에 공감대를 이룬 것 같다"고 전했다.
하지만 이같은 합의내용을 접한 국민의힘 내부에서 반발이 일자 이준석 대표는 합의를 번복하며 결국 100분만에 백지화가 됐다.
이준석 대표는 당 내는 물론 합의 번복에 따른 민주당측에서도 비판을 받자 13일 "방역 수칙 강화로 2인 제한이라 배석자가 없다 보니 회동 후 다른 방에 있던 대변인들에게 발표 내용을 정리해 전달하는 과정에서 충분히 설명되기 어려웠던 것 같다"고 번복하는 게 아니라고 해명했다.
그는 이어 "민주당도 이러한 정책적인 합의 사안을 가지고 당내 협의를 진행해야 한다. 저희는 회동 직후 1시간 만에 원내지도부와 협의를 마친 것"이라고 했다.
당시 전국민 재난지원금 합의 내용이 국민의힘 지도부에 전파되자 "당내 합의가 안된 사안이다. 황당한 얘기"라며 반발이 터져나온 것으로 전해졌다. 이에 지도부는 즉각 심야 회의를 갖고 "재원이 남는다면 재난지원금 범위를 전국민으로 확대하는 것을 검토하는데 동의한 것"이라고 말을 바꿨다.
반면 민주당은 13일 오후 비공개 최고위원회의를 열고 전국민 지급안을 당론으로 확정할 것으로 보인다. 민주당 지도부는 정책의총에서도 전국민 지급 의견이 우세했고, 송영길 대표가 이준석 대표와도 합의한 만큼 100% 지급안을 당론으로 최종 확정하는 분위기다.
민주당 원내관계자는 "국민의힘에서 번복을 했지만 어찌됐든 우리 입장에선 여야 대표 회동에서 합의한 사안이니 100% 지급으로 당론을 결정할 것이며 7월 국회에서 통과를 위해 노력할 것"이라고 전했다. 다만 국민의힘에서 합의를 번복했기 때문에 추경안 심사가 원활히 이뤄질지는 미지수다.

Meanwhile, when the agreement on the national disaster support fund was spread to the people's power leadership, he said, "It is an issue that has not been agreed within the party." It's an absurd story," he said. In response, the leadership immediately held a late-night meeting and changed its words, saying, "If the funds remain, we agreed to consider expanding the scope of disaster support funds to the entire nation."
On the other hand, the Democratic Party of Korea is expected to hold a closed-door supreme council meeting on Tuesday afternoon and finalize the payment plan for the entire nation as a party platform. The leadership of the Democratic Party of Korea seems to finalize the 100% payment plan as the party platform, as Song Young-gil also agreed with Lee Joon-seok, the representative of the party. An official of the Democratic Party of Korea also said, "We reversed it in the power of the people, but since it was agreed at the meeting between the ruling and opposition parties, 100% payment will be decided by the party platform and we will try to pass it at the National Assembly in July."
