브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 최근 여권의 대선주자 중 한명인 이낙연 전 민주당 대표의 상승세가 두드러지자, 다른 경쟁후보들이 이 전 대표에게 십자포화를 퍼붓고 있다.
이에 이낙연 전 대표는 "일일이 다 대응할 가치를 느끼지 않는다"며 본인만의 행보를 이어가겠다고 밝혔다.
먼저 선두를 달리고 있는 이재명 경기지사는 14일 옵티머스 사건으로 검찰 조사를 받아 사망한 이낙연 전 대표의 측근을 언급하며 "저한테 가족 문제 지적을 한 분이 진짜로 측근 또는 가족 이야기가 많다. 본인을 먼저 되돌아보셔야지, 세상에 문제없는 저를 그런 식으로 공격하면 이거 말이 되겠나"라고 일갈했다.
이재명 지사는 "(이 전 대표 측근) 그분은 전남지사 경선 때 가짜 당원명부를 만들고 해서 시정 받은 핵심 측근"이라며 "그 부분에 먼저 소명해야지 뜬금없이 아무 관계도 없는 제 가족을 걸고넘어지니 좀 당황스럽다"라고 말했다.
추미애 전 법무부 장관은 14일 뉴시스와의 인터뷰에서 "당 대표로서 0점이다. 권리당원이 다 떠나갔다"며 "그냥 우아한 말로 정치가 되지는 않는다. 내 대표 재임 시절에는 70만명이 넘는 권리당원이 있었고, 이해찬 전 대표 시절에도 줄지 않았다. 그런데 이낙연 전 대표 시절에는 줄어들었다"고 비판했다.
추 전 장관은 이어 "대표가 약속하고 추진력 있게 해야 (상임위가) 돌아가는데 책임회피만 했다"면서 "지난 2월 중대범죄수사청 설치 법안 발의를 당내에서 한다고 했는데 검찰개혁특위에 맡겨만 놓았다"고 지적했다. 그러면서 "이는 법의 문제도 아닌 결단과 용기의 문제다. 내 손에 피를 묻히겠다, 욕 들어도 좋다는 대단한 결기와 각오, 헌신 없이는 안 되는 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
박용진 의원도 이날 MBC라디오에 출연해 "국민들에게 식상한 후보다. 지금 지지율 한 10%대 올랐다고 그러는데 원래 40%대에 계셨던 분 아닌가"라며 "총리 시절 부동산 전쟁에서 패배한 장수 아니냐. 그런데 또 똑같은 정책을 가지고 나오면 국민들이 ‘그저 그런 후보’라고 보지 않겠느냐고 말씀드렸다"고 꼬집었다.
박 의원은 또한 "어떤 정책을 적극적으로 내놓기보다는 사면론으로 곤혹을 치르고, 당헌·당규를 고쳐 후보를 내는 것으로 패배를 자초하는 등 선택을 해왔던 후보가 제대로 된 대선 승리를 약속할 수 있느냐 하는 측면에서 ‘그저 그런 후보’라고 말하는 것"고 지적했다.
그러나 이낙연 전 대표는 이같은 공세에 대해 크게 신경쓰지 않는 분위기다.
이 전 대표는 강원 춘천 일자리센터를 방문한 후 기자들과 만난 자리에서 "좋은 충고라고 생각한다"고 말한 뒤 "검증과 네거티브는 구분했으면 좋겠다고 생각한다"고 말했다.
이어 그는 경쟁주자들이 자신을 집중 견제한데 대해 "생각보다 참을성이 약하다. 지지율 조금 올라간다고 그걸 못 참고 공격하나"라며 여유를 보이기도 했다.
아울러 민주당 대선 경선이 네거티브전으로 비화되는 게 아니냐는 지적에도 "정책 경쟁도 꽤 많이 하고 있는데 언론들이 덜 다루고 있다"며 "정책경쟁도 많이 다뤄달라"고 요청했다.

However, Lee Nak-yeon, former chairman of the party, seems not to care much about such attacks.
