브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이준석 국민의힘 대표는 15일 문재인 정부의 최저임금 인상을 비판하며 야권의 잠재적 대권주자로 떠오르고 있는 김동연 전 경제부총리를 띄웠다.
이준석 대표는 15일 국회에서 열린 당 최고위원회의에서 "최저임금이 9160원으로 결정됐다"며 "전임 정부의 총 인상률과 비슷하지만 5년 간 인상률 폭이 연간 16.4%에서 1.5%까지 널뛰기 했다는 점에서 시장에 훨씬 큰 혼란을 가져다 줬다"고 비판했다.
그는 "문재인 대통령은 최저임금 인상 첫해인 2017년 경제성장률을 더 높여주는 효과가 있다고 전망하고, 2018년 장하성 당시 청와대 정책실장은 최저임금 인상으로 인한 고용감소 효과가 없다고 했다"며 "하지만 김동연 당시 부총리는 고용에 악영향을 미칠 것이라 했는데, 결국은 고용에 부정적 영향을 미친 게 맞았다. 소득주도성장은 실패했다"고 지적했다.
그러면서 "어느 정부나 성장과 분배 담론이 있는데, 문 정부의 성장 담론인 소득주도성장이 붕괴하면서 부동산·직업·젠더 갈등 등 국민이 갈라져 싸우는 상황이 발생했다"고 덧붙였다.
이준석 대표는 또한 한국판 뉴딜 2.0을 언급하며 "슬그머니 사라진 소득주도성장 구호는 한국판 뉴딜로 대체되고 있는 게 아닌가 우려된다"라고 했다.
이 대표는 "메타버스에 2.6조원을 늘린다고 하는데, 플랫폼 구축에 투자할 것인지, 콘텐츠에 주력할지에 따라 방향이 다른다. 그런데 벌써부터 'K-메타버스'라는 용어까지 등장하기 시작했다"면서 "정부의 뉴딜이 우리 메타버스 시장에 갈라파고스적으로 진행되지 않길 바란다"고 우려를 나타냈다.
그러면서 "메타버스 투자를 위해선 규제 혁파가 선행돼야 한다. 우리 당의 허은아 의원이 최근 셧다운제 폐지 법안을 냈고, 민주당도 이에 대한 개정·폐지에 대한 의견들이 있다고 하니 수정이 이뤄지길 바란다"고 당부했다.
