브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 여권의 유력 대권주자인 이재명 경기도지사가 지사직을 사퇴하고 민주당의 대선 경선에 참여해야 한다는 의견이 과반을 넘은 여론조사가 발표됐다.
12일 매일경제·MBN이 알앤써치에 의뢰해 실시한 여론조사 결과에서, 이재명 지사의 지사직 사퇴 동의 응답이 51.8%로, 비동의 의견 38.6%보다 13.2%포인트 높았다.
사퇴를 동의한다는 응답자 중 '매우 동의'한다는 응답은 41.0%, '동의하는 편'이라는 응답은 10.8%로 집계됐다.
지지정당별로 보면, 민주당 지지층 내 지사직을 유지해야 한다는 비율은 54.8%로 사퇴 의견(37.1%)을 앞섰다. 반면 국민의힘 지지층의 경우엔 사퇴 의견(73.3%)이 유지 의견(17.8%)보다 압도적으로 많았다.
지역별로는 경기·인천 응답자의 45.8%는 사퇴 동의, 43.3%는 유지 응답을 해 두 의견이 팽팽한 상태다.
대선 가상 양자대결 결과에선 이재명 지사와 윤석열 전 검찰총장은 35.9%대 33.5%로 오차범위 내에서 이 지사가 소폭 앞섰고, 이낙연 전 대표와 윤 전 총장간 가상대결은 31.6%대 35.1%로 집계됐다.
아울러 민주당 차기대선후보 적합도는 이재명 지사 34.1%, 이낙연 전 대표 21.9%, 추미애 전 법무부 장관 7.2%, 박용진 의원 5.2%, 정세균 전 국무총리 3.8%, 김두관 의원 1.3% 순이었다.
범야권 차기대선 후보 적합도는 윤석열 전 총장 26.6%, 홍준표 의원 16.5%, 유승민 전 의원 10.6%, 최재형 전 감사원장 6.6%, 안철수 국민의당 대표4.4%, 원희룡 전 제주도지사 3.2%, 윤희숙 의원1.6%, 황교안 전 대표 1.6% 순이었다.
정당 지지도는 민주당 37.6%, 국민의힘 32.8%, 열린민주당 6.6%, 국민의당 5.1%, 정의당 4.0%였다.
