대구지역 문화예술인 100여명이 더불어민주당 대선주자인 이재명 경기도지사에 대한 지지를 선언했다.
이들은 23일 지지선언문을 통해 “‘예술인기본소득’을 공약으로 채택한 이재명 후보를 지지한다”고 밝혔다.

이들은 이재명 후보에 대해 “위기에 처한 대한민국에 명확한 비전과 정책을 제시하고 온 국민을 이끌어갈 용기와 결단력, 실천력을 갖춘 지도자라 믿는다“면서 대선 승리를 위한 응원과 지지를 보탰다.
이어 지난 7월 20일 이재명 경기도지사가 추진한 '경기도 예술인 창작수당 지급 조례안'으로 시행될 ‘예술인기본소득’을 언급하며 “이재명 후보가 대선에 승리하여 ‘예술인기본소득’정책 실시를 기반으로 대한민국 예술인으로서의 자부심과 자긍심을 가지고 활동할 수 있기를 기대한다.”는 입장을 전했다.
아울러 이들은 “이재명 후보가 예술인기본소득을 기반으로 대한민국 예술인으로서의 자부심과 자긍심을 가지고 활동할 수 있는 실효성 있는 문화예술정책을 통해 세계 최고의 문화예술 강국으로 만들어 나갈 수 있을 것”이라며 기대를 전했다.
한편 이번 지지선언에는 대구의 청년예술가와 중견예술가, 원로예술가 등 지역 문화예술계의 다양한 연령층과 장르를 망라한 100여명의 각 분야별 예술인들이 참여하였으며 향후 단계적 확산을 추진 할 예정으로 알려지며 지지선언식은 오는 24일 오전 11시 대명동 우전소극장에서 진행된다.
