대구한의대 오인균 교수, 레드닷 컨셉디자인 어워드 수상자로 선정

대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) 산업디자인공학전공 오인균 교수가 ‘2021 독일 레드닷 컨셉디자인 어워드’에서 수상자로 선정되었다.

세계 3대 디자인 어워드 중 하나로 꼽히는 레드닷 컨셉디자인 어워드에서 대구한의대 오인균 교수의‘Flexibell'이 당선되어 수상의 영예를 안았다.

오 교수는 해당 어워드에 폴딩 형식을 기본으로 물이나 모래를 통해서 자유로운 무게조절이 가능해 공간 활용과 비용절약의 장점이 있는 덤벨 ‘Flexibell'을 출품했다.

오인균 교수는 “코로나 19 시대 늘어나는 홈트레이닝 족을 대상으로 다양한 관찰과 인터뷰를 기반으로 이 아이디어를 도출하였으며, 소재 보완 등을 통해 실제 제품화 할 수 있도록 하겠다”며 수상소감을 밝혔다.

올해 레드닷 컨셉디자인 어워드에는 60여 개국에서 4000개 이상의 작품이 출품됐으며, 12월에 싱가폴에서 수상식이 진행될 예정이다.

Professor Oh submitted the dumbbell 'Flexibell', which has the advantage of space utilization and cost saving because it can freely control the weight through water or sand based on the folding type as a basis for the award.

Professor Oh In-gyun said, "We have derived this idea based on various observations and interviews with the increasing number of home training groups in the era of Corona 19, and we will make it possible to commercialize it through material supplementation, etc."

More than 4,000 works from over 60 countries were submitted to this year's Red Dot Concept Design Awards, and the award ceremony will be held in Singapore in December.
