DGIST(총장 국양)는 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 ‘2021년 제1회 DGIST Power Bridge in METAVERSE’를 개최한다.
오는 27일에 개최되는 이번 행사는 국내 대학 최초로 메타버스 플랫폼을 IR행사에 적용해 코로나19로 인한 비대면 행사의 한계에서 벗어나 효과적인 소통 환경과 현장감을 제공할 예정이다.

2018년부터 4년째 개최하고 있는 ‘DGIST Power Bridge’행사는 DGIST 기술 기반 창업기업의 비즈니스모델 소개 및 창업 관련 관계자들의 소통과 협력의 기회를 제공하면서 국가·지역을 대표하는 기업, 국내·외 벤처캐피털 등 관계자들로부터 매년 뜨거운 관심과 집중을 받아왔다.
올해 행사에서는 DGIST의 우수기술에 기반한 3개의 스타트업(짐보로보틱스, 인피닉스, 사바나뮤직)의 투자 IR 발표가 진행되며 가상 박람회 부스를 통한 ▲DGIST 스타트업 전시 ▲메타버스 퍼포먼스 공연 ▲O,X퀴즈 등 다양한 볼거리와 즐길 거리를 제공한다.
DGIST 산학협력단 이동하 단장은 “우리 DGIST에서 국내 대학 최초로 진행하는 메타버스 기반 IR행사는 디지털 트렌드에 걸맞는 새로운 방식으로써 대면 행사에 대한 참가자들의 갈증을 해소해줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.”고 밝혔다.
이어 “이같이 적극적으로 창업기업들을 지속적으로 발굴·육성한 결과 최근 3개 스타트업의 시리즈A 투자유치, 6개 예비창업팀의 예비창업패키지 지원 선정 등 괄목할만한 성과를 이루어내고 있다” 라며 “앞으로도 창업기업에 대한 전방위 지원을 통해 미래 혁신산업을 개척하여 지역사회와 국가 산업 발전에 기여하겠다.”고 덧붙였다.

Director Lee Dong-ha of the DGIST Industry-University Cooperation Foundation said, "The metaverse-based IR event held for the first time by a Korean university at DGIST is a new method that fits the digital trend and is expected to quench the thirst of participants for face-to-face events."
He continued, “As a result of actively discovering and nurturing start-up companies in this way, we are achieving remarkable results, such as attracting Series A investment from 3 startups and selecting preliminary startup package support from 6 preliminary startup teams.” We will contribute to the development of local communities and national industries by pioneering future innovative industries through all-round support for companies.”
