브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 정부가 제5차 재난지원금인 국민지원금을 추석 전 지급을 시작하겠다고 밝혔다. 또한 코로나19 확산으로 인해 피해를 입은 소상공인·중소기업을 대상으로 추석 전후 41조원의 신규 금융지원을 편성하는 한편, 세금·공과금 납부유예도 재연장하기로 했다.

홍남기 부총리는 "소상공인 희망회복자금을 추석 전 까지 90% 지급하고 국민지원금은 추석 전 지급을 개시하겠다"며 "근로·자녀장려금 4조1000억원도 9월 말에서 8월 말로 앞당겨 지급하고 서민금융진흥원 출연을 통한 서민금융 공급도 연 7조~8조원에서 9조~10조원으로 확대 추진한다"고 밝혔다.

그는 최근 경제 동향과 관련해선 "코로나 4차 확산 및 계속된 방역 강화로 소상공인·자영업자들의 버팀 한계가 커지는 한편 7~8월 소비자·기업의 심리지수도 2개월 연속 하락했다"면서 "정부는 8~9월 중 조기 집단면역을 향한 백신 접종 속도전, 서민·취약계층 민생안정 최우선, 방역 속 소비·투자·수출 등 경기 흐름을 이어가기 위해 총력을 다하겠다"고 약속했다.
정부는 아울러 대출 만기 연장 여부 등 금융지원 관련해서는 다음 달 중 검토를 완료 후 발표할 예정이며 '추석 연휴 기간 특별방역 대책'에 대해서도 다음 달 별도로 발표하기로 했다.
