대구사이버대학교(총장 이근용)가 대구광역시사회서비스원 주요 기관(보석마을, 희망마을, 아름마을)과 지역의 사회서비스의 공공성 확산 및 지역복지 플랫폼 역할을 위한 업무협약을 맺었다고 8일 밝혔다.
지난 3일 대구광역시사회서비스원 희망원에서 열린 이번 협약식에는 대구사이버대학교 사회복지학과(학과장 김한양), 사회복지상담학과(학과장 송유미) 및 대구광역시사회서비스원 보석마을(원장 임은자), 희망마을(원장 장준배), 아름마을(원장 이해숙) 등 양 기관 관계자 10여명이 참석했다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 대구지역의 사회서비스 분야를 위한 공동 연구 및 공공이 책임지는 사회서비스를 위한 전문가 양성에 집중하기로 약속했다.
대구광역시사회서비스원 희망원 보석마을 임은자 원장은 “지역의 좋은 돌봄과 좋은 일자리 창출을 위한 전문가 양성에 힘쓰고 있는 대구사이버대학과 협약을 맺게 되어 매우 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “이를 통해 지역사회가 더욱 따뜻하고 희망적인 발전할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
이에 송유미 사회복지상담학과 학과장은 “코로나19로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있는 분들이 많은데, 지역 시민들의 아픔에 헌신하고 있는 대구광역시사회서비스원 희망원과 협력이라 의미가 깊다”며 “상호 협력을 통해 지역의 안전망에 대학이 기여할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
