대구보건대학교병원(원장 황미영)이 학대피해아동의 보호와 예방을 위해 대구광역시 북구청과 업무협약을 체결했다고 9일 밝혔다.
협약식은 코로나 19 상황을 감안해 별도의 협약식 없이 기관 간 협약서를 주고받는 방식으로 진행됐다.

아동학대 전담의료기관으로 지정된 대구보건대학교병원은 업무협약을 통해 학대피해아동의 신속한 치료와 구조 등을 위해 북구청에 적극 협력할 예정이다.
협약의 주요 내용은 ▷응급치료가 필요한 학대피해아동에 대한 신속한 조치, ▷의료기관 이용 아동의 학대의심 사례 발견 시 즉시 신고, ▷학대피해아동과 보호대상아동에 대한 신체적 · 심리적 검사와 치료지원, ▷필요시 학대피해아동 검사 · 진료비 사후정산, ▷기타 아동학대예방과 피해아동 치료에 필요한 제반사항 협력 및 적극 추진을 골자로 한다.
이번 MOU체결로 양 기관은 실질적이고 모범적인 협력활동 모델을 제시함으로서 아동학대 예방과 아동 인권보호로 국가와 지역발전에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
황미영 원장은“아동학대 전담의료기관으로서의 사명감과 책임감을 갖고 미래의 주역인 아동이 건강한 삶을 살 수 있도록 적극 협력하겠다”고 말했다.
