대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) 화장품공학부가 학부생과 지역고등학생을 대상으로 제1회 화장품공학부 오픈랩(Open Lab)행사 개최하며 교류의 장을 마련했다.

이번 행사에는 학부 내의 분자세포생물학실험실, 미세유체공학실험실, 산업디자인공학실험실등 3개 연구실이 참여했다.
행사에서는 연구실 투어, 연구실 별 연구 성과 전시(화장품 제형, 디자인, 창업 등)와 함께 실험실 내 교육 프로그램 및 링크(LINC+) 사업을 통해 받을 수 있는 교육과 혜택 등을 소개하는 프로그램이 진행되었다. 아울러 지역 고등학생들을 위한 입시상담도 함께 실시했다.
이날 행사를 기획한 분자세포생물학실험실 이경하 교수는 “이번행사에서 학부생들 외에 화장품에 관심이 있는 지역 고등학생들이 많은 것에 놀랐다”면서 “이들이 향후 전공 선택에 활용할 수 있도록 눈높이에 맞춘 프로그램을 개발하고 아울러 화장품에 관심 있는 지역주민에게도 개방할 수 있도록 준비하겠다고”며 계획을 전했다.
화장품공학부 학부장인 오인균 교수는 “오픈랩을 통해서 화장품개발과 창업에 많은 관심이 있음을 다시 알게 되었다”면서 “앞으로 행사가 정기적으로 개최되어 학부의 대표 프로그램으로 정착할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 소감을 전했다.
