대구가톨릭대(총장 우동기)와 대구시설공단(이사장 최길영)이 상호협력 MOU를 체결했다.
지난 9일 체결한 MOU는 양 기관의 △공공시설물의 효율적인 관리·운영 및 시민편익과 복지증진을 위한 상호협력 △연구자료, 간행물, 학술정보, 우수 연구 인력 및 인적 네트워크 상호활용 △협약기관의 공간 및 시설 등의 인프라 공동이용 △전문교육에 필요한 인적교류 및 강의지원 등을 골자로 한다.

이번 협약과 함께 대구시설공단 임직원이 대구가톨릭대 유스티노자유대학에 입학 후 졸업 시까지 공단에 재직 중일 경우 산학협력장학금을 지급하기로 했다.
우동기 대구가톨릭대 총장은 “대학 교육의 방향을 학령기 학생뿐만 아니라 시민교육, 직업전환 교육과 만학도 교육 등으로 범위를 넓힐 때가 왔다. 우리 대학이 평생교육 체제로 변화하는 과정에 시설공단과 협약을 맺게 되어 큰 힘이 될 것이라 생각한다”고 말했다.
