대경대, 베트남 난치병 어린이 후원으로 감사패 수여

대경대학교(총장 이채영)가 한국다문화재단 중앙회·한국베트남경제협력위원회으로부터 베트남 난치병 어린이 후원에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 감사패를 수여받았다는 소식을 전했다.

이번 감사패 수여는 대경대학교의 한국 내 다문화가정 및 사회취약계층에 대한 후원뿐만 아니라 코로나-19 예방과 지역확산방지 및 난치병어린이에 대한 후원에 대한 것으로 알려진다.

대경대학교는 지난 5월 29일 한국다문화재단에서 주관하고 한국베트남경제협력위원회에서 후원하는 ‘제5회 베트남 난치병 어린이돕기’ 한국, 베트남 K-POP 문화교류행사에 참여하여 지역사회봉사에 기여했다.

행사에는 대경대학교 모델과, 실용댄스과, 국제태권도과 등 3개 학과가 참여하여 공연을 선보였으며 모든 공연은 베트남 전역에 공중파로 방송되었다.

이채영 총장은 “이러한 학생들의 우수한 역량을 기반으로 향후 다문화가정과 사회취약계층에 대한 지역사회 봉사 및 지속적인 후원을 통해 지역사회와 함께 발전해 나가겠다” 라고 밝혔다.

Daekyung University announced that President Chae-young Lee was awarded a plaque of appreciation from the Korea Multicultural Foundation and the Korea-Vietnam Economic Cooperation Committee in recognition of her contribution to supporting children with incurable diseases in Vietnam.

This award of appreciation is known for Daekyung University's support for multicultural families and socially vulnerable groups in Korea, as well as for the prevention of COVID-19, prevention of regional spread, and support for children with incurable diseases.

Daekyung University contributed to community service by participating in the Korean-Vietnamese K-pop cultural exchange event on May 29th, hosted by the Korea Multicultural Foundation and sponsored by the Korea Vietnam Economic Cooperation Committee.

In the event, three departments including Daekyung University Model Department, Practical Dance Department, and International Taekwondo Department participated and performed performances, and all performances were broadcast on airwaves throughout Vietnam.

President Chae-Young Lee said, “Based on the excellent competencies of these students, we will develop together with the local community through community service and continuous support for multicultural families and the socially vulnerable in the future.”
