브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 전 검찰총장이냐, 홍준표 의원이냐. 국민의힘 대선후보가 5일 오후 2시 결정난다.
국민의힘은 이날 오후 2시 백범김구기념관에서 전당대회를 개최하고 최종 대선후보를 선출한다. 최종 4강에 오른 후보는 윤석열, 홍준표, 유승민, 원희룡 후보로 4명이나, 사실상 윤석열 대 홍준표 간 대결양상이다.
당 선거관리위원회는 지난 1~4일 진행된 책임당원 모바일투표 및 자동응답시스템(ARS) 투표 결과와 지난 3~4일 일반 국민여론조사 결과를 50대 50의 비율로 반영해 최종 우승자를 가린다.
정치권에선 윤석열 후보의 강한 조직력과 홍준표 후보의 2030세대의 높은 지지율 탓에 결과를 예측할 수 없을 정도로 박빙의 승부를 펼쳤을 것이라고 보고 있다.
특히 이번 경선은 역대급으로 높은 투표율을 기록해 한층 더 민심의 향방을 짐작하기 어려운 상황이다. 높은 투표율을 놓고 양측 캠프 역시 자신들에게 유리하며 자신감을 드러내기도 했다.
권성동 윤석열 캠프 종합지원본부장은 CBS라디오와의 인터뷰에서 "여러가지 지표를 종합해본 결과 10%포인트 이상, 두자릿수 차로 윤 후보가 이길 것"이라며 "윤석열 후보 지지 당협에서 신규로 가입한 당원 수가 한 11만명으로 62% 정도 된다. 최근 홍준표 후보 상승세도 멈춘 것으로 보이고 엊그제 기준 빅데이터로 봐도 다시 윤 후보가 앞서가기 시작했다”고 주장했다.
반면 홍준표 캠프 선대위원장인 조경태 의원은 "높은 당원투표율을 보니 격차가 크게 벌어져 이길 것 같다. 젊은층에서 투표를 많이 했다는 것이고, 60대에서도 민심의 흐름을 따라가는 분도 많다"면서 "당초 민심을 바탕으로 2∼3%포인트 격차를 예상했는데 그 전엔 안 움직이던 50대 이상 분들이 홍 후보에게도 돌아선 것 같고, 최종 5%포인트 이상으로 우리가 이길 것 같다"고 전망했다.
한편 4일간 진행된 선거인단 투표는 선거인단 56만 9059명 중 36만3569명이 투표에 참여해 총 63.89%를 기록했다. 모바일 투표는 54.49%(31만 63명), ARS 투표율은 9.40%(5만3503명)로 집계됐다.
일반 여론조사는 4개조사기관을 통해 각 1500명씩 6000명을 대상으로 진행됐으며 그 결과는 5일 오후 2시 전당대회에서 최종 발표할 예정이다.

The party's Election Commission will determine the final winner by reflecting the results of the mobile voting and automatic response system (ARS) voting held on the 1st to 4th and the results of the general public opinion poll on the 3rd to 4th at a ratio of 50:50.
Political circles believe that candidate Yoon Seok-yeol's strong organizational power and Hong Joon Pyo's high approval rating of the 2030 generation would have led to an unpredictable neck-and-neck race.
In particular, the race recorded the highest turnout ever, making it even more difficult to guess the direction of public sentiment. For high turnout, camps on both sides also expressed confidence in their favor.
In an interview with CBS Radio, Kwon Sung-dong, head of the camp's comprehensive support division, said, "As a result of synthesizing various indicators, candidate Yoon will win by more than 10 percentage points and double digits," adding, "The number of new party members is about 110,000. "The recent rise in Hong Joon Pyo candidates seems to have stopped, and candidate Yoon has begun to take the lead again even in big data as of yesterday," he claimed.
On the other hand, Rep. Cho Kyung-tae, chairman of the Hong Joon Pyo camp's election committee, said, "Looking at the high turnout of party members, the gap is likely to widen and win." Many young people voted, and many people in their 60s expected a 2-3 percentage point gap based on public sentiment, but I think those in their 50s and older, who had not moved before, will turn to Hong, and we will win more than 5 percentage points."
Meanwhile, 363,569 out of 569,059 electors participated in the four-day vote, recording a total of 63.89%. Mobile voting was 54.49% (316,63) and ARS turnout was 9.40% (53,503).
The general poll was conducted on 6,000 people, 1,500 people each, through four survey agencies, and the results will be finally announced at the national convention at 2 p.m. on the 5th.
