브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤호중 더불어민주당 원내대표는 9일 "국민의 일상회복과 개인방역 지원을 위해 전국민 위드코로나 방역지원금 지급을 추진하고자 한다"고 9일 밝혔다.
윤호중 원내대표는 이날 오전 원내대책회의에서 "내년 1월이 시작되면 최대한 빨리 국민들에 지급해 개인 방역에 힘쓰고 계신 국민들의 방역물품 구입과 일상회복을 지원하게 될 것"이라며 이같이 말했다.
민주당은 방역지원금을 전국민에 20~25만원을 지급할 경우 10~15조원이 필요할 것으로 보고 있다.
이에 대해 윤 원내대표는 "소요 재원은 올해 초과세수분이 예상돼 그걸 납부유예해서 내년 세입을 늘려 충당할 수 있을 것"이라며 "지원금 시기, 절차 등에 대한 내용이 매끄럽게 진행되도록 여야정 협의를 계속 해나가겠다"고 설명했다.
신현영 원내대변인도 "일상회복에 도움이 될 수 있도록 예산 집행을 검토하겠다는 의지로 말씀드린 것"이라며 "구체적인 내용은 상임위와 예결위를 중심으로 논의가 진행될 예정"이라고 설명했다.
신 원내대변인은 이어 "개인 방역 용품 지원금을 국가에서 지원할 수 있다고 판단한 만큼 많은 의원들이 동의할 것"이라며 "예산 처리과정에서 어떤 방식으로 국민들에게 초과세수분을 돌려드릴지 고민의 일환으로 봐달라"고 부연했다.
