고용진 민주당 선대위 수석대변인은 이날 오전 국회에서 "어제 송영길 민주당 대표와 최강욱 열린민주당 대표는 당대 당 통합에 대한 의견을 교환하고 통합을 추진하기로 합의했다"고 밝혔다.
고 수석대변인은 "송영길 대표는 협상 추진을 위한 민주당 측 협상대표로 우상호 의원을 지명했다. 곧 통합이 원만히 이뤄지도록 실무 협상을 시작할 계획"이라고 전했다.
