지난 12일 국민건강보험공단 대구경북지역본부가 주관한 ‘대학생 건강실천 서포터즈 성과발표대회’에서 대구대 재활증진학과 학생 5명으로 구성된 HELC(Health Education Leaders Club)팀이 대상을 거머쥐었다.
대학생 건강실천 서포터즈는 지난 4월부터 10월까지 청년층의 흡연 예방, 금연, 절주 등 건강관리사업에 대한 관심을 유도하고, 건강생활 실천 분위기를 조성하기 위해 활동
대구대 최정은·구정은·심소연·장보금·최화정 학생(재활건강증진학과 4)으로 구성된 HELC 팀은 7개월 간 서포터즈로 활동하며 금연, 절주, 신체활동, 건강한 성, 정신건강, 건강검진 등의 건강정보를 카드 뉴스, 동영상 등으로 제작 후 블로그, 페이스북, 인스타그램, 유튜브에 탑재해 온라인 캠페인을 실시했다.
또한, 코로나 블루, 혼술, 폭음 등으로 고위험 음주 행동이 증가하는 문제점을 널리 알리기 위해 오프라인 절주 캠페인을 진행하기도 했다.
김영복 대구대 재활건강증진학과장은 “요즘 코로나19 방역수칙을 준수하기 위해 외부 활동이 많이 줄어든 상황인데, 건강을 유지하고 증진시킬 수 있는 비대면 서포터즈 활동을 훌륭히 수행한 HELC팀이 자랑스럽다”면서 “7개월 간의 서포터즈 활동이 지역사회 주민들의 건강 수준을 개선시키는데 기여했을 것으로 생각하며, 대상 수상을 진심으로 축하한다”고 말했다.
