정의당 대구시당은 전두환 전 대통령에 대해 “생전 추징금 납부 등 법의 판결을 성실히 이행하지 않았을 뿐 아니라, 숱한 막말로 광주민주화운동을 폄훼하여 피해자 및 그 가족들에게 상처를 남겼다”고 표현하며 “애도는 과분하다”고 밝혔다.

이어 이들은 정부에 대해 “전두환씨의 차명재산을 샅샅이 찾아내어 추징금 징수를 성실히 이행해야한다”고 강조했다.

아울러 “그럴 일이 없겠지만 정부는 국가장을 염두에도 두지말라”며 강하게 경고했다.

앞서 정의당은 지난 10월 26일 사망한 노태우 전 대통령의 장례가 국가장으로 치러지는 것에 대해 단호히 반대하면서 정부의 국가장 결정에 강력히 반발했다.
