오는 12월 3일, 2022년 전국동시지방선거 180일 앞둠에 따라 경상북도선거관리위원회는 공직선거법에 따라 제한·금지되는 행위와 위반사례를 안내하고 예방·단속활동 강화에 나선다.

이는 후보자간 선거운동의 기회균등을 보장하고 불법행위로 인한 선거의 공정성이 침해되는 것을 방지하기 위한 것으로 다음과 같은 행위를 제한 또는 금지하고 있다.
이에 따라 교육감을 포함한 지자체장은 지방자치단체의 사업계획·추진실적이나 활동상황을 알리기 위한 홍보물을 발행·배부 또는 방송할 수 없고, 주민자치센터가 개최하는 교양강좌와 근무시간 중에 공공기관이 아닌 단체 등이 개최하는 행사에 참석할 수 없다.
또한 정당이나 후보자가 설립·운영하는 기관·단체·조직 또는 시설은 선거구민을 대상으로 선거에 영향을 미치는 행위를 할 수 없고 그 기관·단체 등의 설립이나 활동내용을 선거구민에게 알리기 위하여 정당·후보자의 명의나 그 명의를 유추할 수 있는 방법으로 선전할 수 없다.
아울러 누구든지 선거에 영향을 미치게 하기 위해 간판·현수막 등의 광고물을 설치·게시하는 행위, 표찰 등 표시물을 착용 또는 배부하는 행위, 후보자를 상징하는 인형·마스코트 등 상징물을 제작·판매하는 행위, 정당 또는 후보자를 지지·추천 또는 반대하는 내용이 포함되어 있거나 정당·후보자의 명칭·성명을 나타내는 광고, 인사장, 벽보, 사진, 문서·도화, 인쇄물, 녹음·녹화물 등을 배부·첩부·상영·게시하는 행위를 할 수 없다.
경북선관위 관계자는 “내년 양대 선거가 얼마 남지 않은 만큼 공무원의 선거관여 행위 등을 중점 단속할 예정이며 적극적인 사전 안내를 이어갈 것”이라면서 “이와 더불어 위법행위 발생 시 광역조사팀을 동시에 투입하고 휴대폰 포렌식·디지털인증서비스(DAS) 등 과학적 조사 기법 등을 적극 활용하여 엄중 조치할 방침”이라고 전했다.
