대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)가 ‘청년! 응원한 데이(Day)’를 개최하고 학자금 지원제도와 대구시 청년정책 홍보에 나섰다.

지난달 30일 대구보건대학교는 한국장학재단(이사장 정대화)과 대구광역시(시장 권영진)의 후원으로 대구보건대학교 인당아트홀 앞 광장에서 ‘청년! 응원한 데이(Day)’를 개최했다.
사회진출을 준비하는 대학생의 도전을 응원하고자 마련된 이날 행사는 남성희 총장, 정대화 한국장학재단 이사장, 정해용 대구시 경제부시장, 오창식 대구청년센터본부장 등 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 진행되었다.
행사는 학생 1100여명이 참여한 가운데 한국장학재단의 희망사다리장학금, 국가근로장학금 등 학자금지원 제도와 대구시의 대구형 청년보장제, 청년센터 청년관련 정책 등 현장 홍보와 의견수렴이 이어졌다.
아울러 간식 쿠키와 사회적 환경을 고려한 코로나19 방역 키트를 제공하기도 했다.
행사에 참여한 권주헌 대구보건대 총학생회장은“추운 날씨에도 학우들에게 따뜻한 마음을 전달해 주신 한국장학재단과 대구시에 감사하다”라며“나중에 책임감 있는 사회인으로서 사회에 보탬이 되는 일원이 되겠다”라고 말했다.
남성희 총장은“최근 청년실업 등으로 학생들이 어려운 시기를 보내고 있는데 한국장학재단과 대구광역시 등이 뜻깊은 행사를 마련해 주셔서 감사하다”며“학생들이 지역사회에 큰 일꾼이 될 수 있도록 대학에서 최선을 다 하겠다”고 말했다.

Kwon Joo-heon, president of Daegu Health University's student council, who participated in the event, said, "I am grateful to the Korea Scholarship Foundation and Daegu City for delivering a warm heart to the classmates despite the cold weather.
President Nam Nam-hee said, “Recently, students are going through a difficult time due to youth unemployment, and I am grateful to the Korea Scholarship Foundation and Daegu Metropolitan City for organizing a meaningful event. I will do everything,” he said.
