브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 국민의힘 대선후보는 22일 부인 김건희씨의 선거 유세 지원에 대해 "영부인이란 말은 쓰지 말자"면서 "계획은 처음부터 없었다. 제 처는 정치하는 걸 극도로 싫어했다"고 밝혔다.
윤석열 후보는 이날 동아일보와의 인터뷰에서 "본인이 전시하고 본인이 일하는데서 공개적으로 나설 순 있지만 남편이 정치하는데 따라다니는 걸 극도로 싫어한다"며 이같이 말했다.
그는 '선거기간 아예 동행하지 않는건가'라는 질문에 "나도 모르겠다"면서 "필요하면 나올 수 있지만, 봉사 활동을 한다면 그에 대한 소감이 아니라 (자신의 논란) 사건을 물을 게 뻔한데 본인이 그걸 하고 싶겠나"라고 반문했다.
이어 그는 '부인과 정치적 결정을 상의하느냐'는 질문에는 "잘 안한다"며 "나하고 그런 이야길 안하기 때문에 (아내가) 섭섭하게 생각할 때도 있다. 대화할 시간이 없고 내가 당에 온 지 얼마 안 돼 정치인들도 잘 모르고, 아내도 정치권에 아는 사람이 없다. 내 정치적 활동과 관련한 대화를 하기가 현실적으로 어렵다"고 했다.
김건희씨가 도이치모터스 수사와 연관돼 있는데 대해선 "(아내) 본인은 자신 있다고 한다"며 "1년 6개월동안 (검찰이) 반부패부를 동원해서 요만한 거라도 찾아내려고 하는데 경찰 내사보고서가 언론으로 가고, 여당 의원이 고발해 검찰이 수사에 나서는 게 정상적인 나라에서 있을 수 있는 일이냐"고 비판했다.
윤 후보는 아울러 최근 선대위 내 갈등이 후보의 리더십 부재로 읽혀질 수 있다는 지적에 대해선 "후보가 강력한 리더십을 보이면 후보 마음대로 한다고 그러지 않겠느냐"며 "후보와 당대표간 관계인데 불만이 있으면 얼마든지 내게 얘기할 수 있지 않느냐. 내가 당을 장악하겠다는 것도 아니고 선대위를 장악해서 어떻게 하겠다는 것도 아니지 않느냐"고 답답함을 토로했다.
그는 코로나 손실보상 문제와 관련해선 "현금 지원은 43조원으로 소상공인, 자영업자 1인당 (피해) 등급에 따라 최대 5000만 원까지 지원할 생각"이라며 "줬다가 가져오는 것은 말도 안되는 얘기"라고 이재명 후보의 선보상 후보상 공약을 비판하기도 했다.
