경북도의회 조현일 교육위원장(국민의 힘, 경산)이 ‘2021 대한민국 사회발전대상 ’에서 지방자치의정부문 대상 수상 소식을 알렸다.
지난 17일 개최된 ‘2021 대한민국사회발전대상 시상식’에서 조현일 교육위원장은 자치의정 발전에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 대상을 수상하는 영예를 안았다.

‘2021 대한민국사회발전대상 시상식’은 (사)한국신문방송인클럽에서 주최하고 대한민국사회발전대상 조직위원회가 주관한 행사로 사회 발전에 중추적 역할을 담당한 리더들을 매년 선정해 상을 수여하고 있다.
이날 대상을 수상한 조현일 의원은 “도민과 교육수요자들의 충실한 대변자로서 본연의 역할을 했을 뿐인데 큰 상을 수상하여 무척 감사한 반면 의정활동에 더욱 매진하라는 사명을 준 것 같아 책임감이 크다”며 “우리 아이들이 행복하게 학교생활 그리고 자신의 삶을 주도적으로 만들어 나갈 수 있는 미래역량을 키워나가는 미래교육을 만들기 위해 지혜를 모으고 역량을 발휘해 안전하고 행복한 교육환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 수상 소감을 밝혔다.
경산출신 재선 도의원인 조현일 의원은 제10대 경상북도의회 교육위원회 위원을 시작으로 제11대 전반기 경상북도의회 정책연구위원회 위원장을 거쳐 현재 후반기 교육위원회 위원장을 역임하고 있다.
