브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 국민의힘 대선후보와 선대위에 대해 노골적으로 불만을 제기해온 이준석 대표의 선대위 복귀 가능성이 흘러나오고 있다. 김종인 총괄선대위원장도 이번주 내 만남을 가질 것이라고 했고, 김기현 원내대표도 "이미 다 정리됐다"며 앞으론 갈등 국면이 벌어지지 않을 것이라고 했다.
김종인 총괄선대위원장은 29일 오전 7시 전략회의 후 기자들과 만나 "이번주에 한번 만나기는 할 것"이라며 "이준석 대표가 선대위 안에 있건 밖에 있건 우리 당 대표다. 지금 선대위에서 빠졌다고 해서 이 대표가 제외된 사람은 아니다"라고 말했다.
김 위원장은 "당을 이끄는 지도자로서 충분히 본인 스스로가 감지를 하고 그에 따라 행동할 것"이라며 "누가 강제로 내보낸 것도 아니고 본인 스스로가 나간건데 오면 오는거지 다른 게 있나"라고 선대위 복귀를 암시했다.
김기현 원내대표도 이날 회의 직후 기자들에게 "다 잘될거다. 정리됐다"면서 "어제부로 완결이 됐다. 앞으로는 조용할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
이준식 대표가 제기해온 윤핵관(윤석열 핵심 관계자) 문제 등 선대위 전면 개편과 관련해선, 운영방식만 변화될 것으로 보인다.
김종인 위원장은 "선대위를 바꿔서는 또 혼란만 일 거다. 그러니 현 시스템을 그대로 놔두고 운영방식을 새롭게 만들려고 한다"면서 "지금 후보간 경쟁이 매우 좁혀져 있는 상황이기 때문에 촘촘하게 준비도 하고 제대로 나갈 수 있도록 메시지 같은 것도 제대로 짜고 할 작정"이라고 설명했다.
한편 이준석 대표도 그간 선대위 합류를 생각하고 있지 않다고 선을 그어왔으나 비판 여론이 커지자 입장의 변화가 감지됐다. 이 대표는 지난 28일 한 매체와의 인터뷰에서 "구체적으로 후보 측에서 요청이 있으면 그건 당연히 생각한다"며 선대위 복귀 가능성을 열어뒀다.
