대구대학교(총장 김상호)가 3주기 대학기관평가인증에서 우수사례로 선정되었다.
대구대학교는 29일 교육부의 대학기관평가인증 인정기관인 한국대학교육협의회로부터 ‘3주기 대학기관평가인증’을 획득함과 동시에 우수사례로도 선정되었다는 소식을 전했다.

대학기관평가인증 획득은 대학이 정부로부터 고등교육기관으로서의 기본요건을 충족하고 있음을 공인받는 절차이자 그 결과를 사회에 공표함으로써 사회적 신뢰를 부여하는 제도이다.
이번 평가에서 대구대는 교육목표와 인재상에 부합하는 학습성과 제고를 위한 교과 및 비교과 과정은 물론 다양한 제도와 프로그램 운영과 학생의 선택권을 위한 부·복수·다전공제도가 체계적으로 구축돼 우수하다는 평가를 받았다.
또한, 성인 발달장애인을 위해 고등교육, 의사소통 지도 및 직업교육을 제공하는 K-PACE 운영 사례는 중앙대와 함께 기관평가 우수사례로 선정됐다.
대구대는 이번 대학기관평가인증 획득으로 우수한 교육시스템과 교육여건을 갖추고 있음을 재입증했다.
지난 8월 대학기본역량진단 일반재정지원대학 선정을 통해 향후 3년에 걸쳐 교육부로부터 약 120억 원의 재정지원을 통해 다양한 정부지원사업을 수행할 수 있게 됐으며, 향후 정부의 특정 분야 중점 육성사업과 관련한 각종 행정, 재정지원 사업도 받게 됐다.
