대경대, ‘PLAY&START-UP 창업아놀자6’ 우수상 수상

대경대학교가 ‘PLAY&START-UP 창업아놀자6’ 창업경진대회에서 우수상을 수상하는 영예를 안았다.

지난 27일 건국대학교에서 주최한 ‘창업자놀자6’는 변화하는 환경 트렌드에 맞춰 새롭게 디자인된 메타버스 기반의 게더타운 공간을 활용한 전국 대학연합 창업경진대회로 총 12개의 대학이 대회에 참여했다.

이 가운데 전문대학교에서는 2개의 대학이 수상을 하였으며 그 중 대경대학교 동물사육복지과 박유민 학생이 우수상을 수상하는 쾌거를 이뤘다.

박유민 학생은 반려견에 대한 관심이 늘어나고 있는 현실에서 미숙한 보호자, 부족한 훈련정보에 대한 인식과 행동을 변화시키고자 고민한 결과 ‘개편한 하네스’ 라는 아이디어로 대회에 참가했다.

‘개편한 하네스’는 기존 반려견의 목 울대를 자극하는 것이 아닌 앞 가슴을 자극하는 하네스를 사용함으로써 훈련의 효과와 착용감이 우수한 제품이다.

대경대학교 이채영 총장은 “변화하는 환경에 맞춰 메타버스 기반의 새로운 공간을 활용해 경진대회가 개최된 것처럼, 코로나19 시기에 지치기보다 재학생들이 창의적이고 더 많은 아이디어를 낼 수 있도록 더 많은 프로그램을 구성하고 지원하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
