브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이준석 국민의힘 대표는 윤석열 후보의 선거대책위원회 개편과 관련 "당대표 거취는 당대표가 정한다"며 사퇴는 없음을 못박았다.
이준석 대표는 이날 CBS 라디오 '뉴스쇼'에서 "(사퇴는) 전혀 고려한 바가 없다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 '당 대표가 후보와 당을 비판하다고 다닌다'는 지적에 대해 "안에서 일어난 이야기를 다 말하면 책이 나올 거다. '선대위가 개편되면 좋겠다' 외에 내가 무슨 말을 했나"라며 "당 대표가 이야기하는데 누가 뭐라고 하나. 내부에서 말을 들어 먹던지"라고 꼬집었다.
이어 선대위 내부 윤핵관(윤석열 핵심 관계자)들을 겨냥해 "윤 후보의 지지율을 올릴 고민을 하기보다는 누구 탓 할까, 어떻게 하면 당내 권력투쟁을 한번 만들어볼까 하는 생각이 있는 것 같다"고 지적했다.
그는 김종인 총괄선대위원장이 자진 사퇴 의사를 표명한데 대해서도 부정적으로 전망했다. 이 대표는 "(김 위원장은) 박근혜, 문재인 대통령과도 일했다. 그분들이 (김종인 위원장을) 물러나게 했다고 생각하지만 결과적으로 그분들이 잘 되지 않았다"고 했다.
그러면서 "형식이 해촉인지 자진 사퇴인지는 중요하지 않다. 김 위원장의 조력을 받을 준비가 돼 있냐, 아니냐가 중요한데 우려된다"고 덧붙였다.
이준석 대표는 이날 자신의 페이스북을 통해서도 "애초에 분석을 잘해야 해법을 내는데 기본적으로 '만물 이준석설'이니 선거대책위원회가 아니라 '이준석대책위원회'가 된 거다"라고 비판했다.
그는 당 내홍이 이준석 대표 때문에 벌어졌다는 '책임론'을 제기한 김경진 상임공보특보단장의 인터뷰 기사를 첨부하며 "오늘도 다들 앉아서 어떻게 이준석에게 뒤집어 씌울까 고민만 하고 있을 거다"라고 말했다.
