대구가톨릭대(총장 우동기)는 5일 본관에서 경상북도 칠곡군(군수 백선기)과 상호교류 업무 협약을 체결했다.

이번 협약의 내용은 △칠곡군 소속 공무원의 전문성 증진을 위한 인적자원 육성의 상호 협력 △연구자료, 간행물, 학술정보, 연구 인력 및 인적 네트워크 상호 활용 △협약기관의 공간과 시설 등 인프라의 공동 이용 △상호 협의에 따라 전문교육에 필요한 인적교류 및 강의 지원 등이다.
이와 함께 대구가톨릭대는 칠곡군 소속 공무원이 대구가톨릭대 유스티노자유대학에 입학 후 졸업 시까지 재직 중일 경우, 장학 혜택을 부여하기로 약속했다.
협약을 통한 적극적인 협력으로 지역과 교육기관이 상생하고 더불어 동반 성장을 통한 지역경제 활성화도 기대된다.
우동기 대구가톨릭대 총장은 “대학교육의 대상과 방법을 새롭게 설정하기 위해 설립한 유스티노자유대학에 많은 관심을 가져주길 바란다. 협약을 통해 우리 대학과 칠곡군이 상생 발전하는 계기가 되었으면 하는 바람”이라고 말했다.
