7일 엑스포조직위 사무실에서 열린 협약 체결식에는 강태석 남해교육지원청 교육장, 신창열 엑스포 조직위 사무처장 등 양 기관 관계자 10여 명이 참석했다.
이번 협약을 통해 조직위와 남해교육지원청간 긴밀한 협조체계를 구축해 엑스포 홍보, 관람객 유치, 초·중·고 학생 현장체험 활성화 등 성공적인 엑스포 개최를 위한 계기를 마련했다.
강태석 교육장은 “학생이 즐거워하고, 느끼는 체험학습을 통해 농업을 이해하고 체험하는 교육의 장을 약속하는 뜻깊은 자리가 되었다”며 “이번 협약이 두 기관이 상생하고 발전할 수 있는 계기가 될 수 있길 바라며 또한 엑스포의 성공적인 개최를 위해 적극 협력토록 하겠다 ”고 밝혔다.
이에 신창열 조직위 사무처장은 “이번 업무협약으로 학생들이 엑스포를 이해하고 체험할 수 있도록 조직위에서 노력하겠다”며, “엑스포의 성공과 학생 체험학습을 위해 함께 협력해 나가자”고 말했다.
