창원시, 의창소방서 개서식

[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원시는 11일 오후 2시 창원시 새로운 시작, 특례시 출범과 발맞추어 의창소방서 개서식을 개최했다.

허성무 창원시장과 시.도의원 등 40여명이 참석했으며, 행사는 이번 평택 냉동창고 순직자들을 추모하는 묵념을 시작으로 경과보고, 기념사, 현판 제막 순으로 진행됐다.

지난해 9월 2일부터 공사를 시작한 의창소방서는 공사가 마무리되는 내년 1월까지 임시청사에서 업무를 시작한다.

임시청사는 의창구 의창대로 272번길 10에 위치한 건물 2층이며, 소방행정과, 안전예방과, 대응구조과 3개과가 신설되어 소방서비스 향상에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

의창소방서는 13일 특례시 출범과 동시에 개서하며, 소답, 봉곡, 차룡, 동읍, 북면, 대산 6개의 안전센터와 1구조대로 구성된다. 관할 구역은 의창동, 팔룡동, 명곡동, 봉림동, 동읍, 북면 대산면 일원이다.
