브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 국민의힘 대선 후보는 7일 안철수 국민의당 후보와의 단일화 가능성에 대해 "배제하지 않겠다는 말 외엔 할 게 없다"고 밝혔다.
윤석열 후보는 이날 대한상공회의소 초청 특강 후 기자들과 만나 "단일화에 대해 언급 하지 않겠다고 어제부터 계속 말했다. 더 할 말은 없다"며 이같이 말했다.
윤 후보는 이날 권영세 선거대책본부장이 "단일화 가능성은 열려 있다"고 밝힌데 대해서도 "권 본부장의 입장이 뭔지 저와 이야기해 본 적이 없고 제가 논평할 부분도 없다"라고 했다.
권영세 본부장은 이날 '단일화 가능성이 있느냐'는 기자의 질문에 "물론"이라고 답하며 "윤석열 후보가 인터뷰에서 DJP 연합을 얘기했는데 (단일화는) 조용히 이뤄져야 한다는 취지로 이해했다"고 말했다. 단일화 시기에 대해선 "깊이 생각하고 정한 것은 없다"면서 "일반적으로 이야기 나오는 것과 크게 다르지 않을 것이다. 투표 시작할 때라는 분도 있고, 투표용지 인쇄하기 전이라는 분도, 사전투표 전까지는 언제든 열려있다는 분도 있는데, 그 중간 어디쯤이 될 것"이라고 했다.
윤 후보는 지난 6일 광주 선대위 결의대회 직후에도 "단일화는 선대본부 측에서 다룰 문제"라며 직접적인 언급은 피하고 있으나, '생각조차 않는다'에서 '배제 않겠다'고 입장이 선회된 상황이다.
이와 관련 안철수 후보는 이날 기자들과 만난 자리에서 "어제는 아니라고 했다가 오늘은 된다고 하느냐"면서 "이런 문제를 공개적으로 말한다는 것 자체가 진정성이 없다고 생각한다"고 꼬집었다.
안철수 후보는 이재명 더불어민주당 후보측에서도 단일화 이야기를 언급하는데 대해서도 불쾌감을 표시했다. 그는 "(민주당에서도) 기본적으로 공개적으로 얘기하는데 저희와 사전 협의를 한 일은 전혀 없다"며 "그래서 진정성을 느낄 수 없다는 말씀을 드리는 것"이라고 했다. 그러면서 "저는 당선을 목표로만 뛰겠다"고 덧붙였다.
