브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 러시아의 우크라이나 침공 첫날인 24일(현지시간) 수백명의 사상자가 발생한 것으로 파악됐다.
이날 AFP통신 보도에 따르면 볼로디미르 젤렌스키 우크라이나 대통령은 러시아군의 공격으로 137명이 사망하고 316명이 부상을 입었다고 발표했다. 젤렌스키 대통령은 사망자 가운데 군인은 10명에 불과하다고 전했다.
앞서 올렉 랴슈코 우크라이나 보건장관은 우크라이나인 57명이 사망하고 169명이 부상했다고 설명한 바 있다.
CNN은 미국 국방부 고위관계자의 말을 인용해 러시아는 160발 이상의 미사일을 우크라이나 내 군사시설에 발사했다고 보도했다.

전문가들은 침공 하루만에 우크라이나의 대공 방어시설이 대부분 파괴됐다는 점과 정부군 역시 러시아군과 비교해 압도적인 수적 열세와 화력 차이가 있다는 점을 들어 수도 키예프는 이른 시간 내 함락될 것으로 내다봤다.
