[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원시는 경상남도에서 실시한 ‘2022년 지방세정 종합평가’에서 4년 연속 종합 ‘대상’으로 선정됐다고 7일 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 2021년 한 해 동안 도내 18개 시·군 간 선의의 경쟁과 세수확충 등 지방세정 발전을 도모하기 위하여 실시됐으며, 지방세 부과·징수, 체납액 정리, 세무조사, 지방세 심사, 세외수입, 지방소득세, 세정일반 등 8개 분야 22개 항목으로 심사됐다.
창원시는 전 분야에 걸쳐 높은 점수를 받았고, 특히 대형 건설공사현장 지방세 일제 조사 및 농어업인 감면 부동산 전수 조사 등 신세원 발굴 및 특수시책으로 우수한 평가를 받았다.
시는 올해에도 자주재원확보를 위한 지속적인 세원발굴과 체납액 징수를 위해 적극적으로 지방세 업무를 추진해 나갈 계획이다.
조영완 세정과장은 “2019년부터 2022년까지 4년 연속 우수한 성적을 거둔 것은 코로나19의 경제적 어려운 시기에도 지방세를 성실하게 납부한 시민들 덕분이다”고 말하고 “편리하고 다양한 납부시책을 개발해 시민들에게 보다 나은 세무행정 서비스를 제공하도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
