브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 대통령 당선인은 10일 제20대 대통령선거 당선이 확정시 되자 "위대한 국민의 승리라고 생각한다"고 소감을 밝혔다.
윤석열 당선인은 이날 오전 4시30분경 서울 여의도 국회 도서관에 마련된 국민의힘 개표상황실에 도착해 "모두 함께 애써주신 국민의힘 당직자, 의원여러분께 깊이 감사드린다"고 이같이 밝혔다.
윤 당선인은 "참 뜨겁고 아주 열정적인 레이스였다. 이 과정을 통해 많은 걸 느끼고 배웠다"며 "오늘의 이 결과는 저와 우리의 국민의힘, 우리 안철수 대표와 함께한 승리라기 보단 위대한 국민의 승리라 생각한다"고 말했다.
이어 그는 "마지막까지 함께 뛰어준 우리 민주당의 이재명 후보와 정의당 심상정 후보께도 감사드린다"며 "원하는 결과는 이루지 못했지만 대한민국 정치발전에 함께 큰 기여를 했다는 점에서 가치를 높게 평가하고 싶고, 두 분께도 심심한 위로의 말씀을 드리고 싶다"고 했다.
윤 당선인은 "이제 경쟁은 일단 끝났다"며 "모두 힘을 합쳐서 국민과 대한민국을 위해 하나가 돼야 한다"고 강조했다.
아울러 "이제 당선인 신분으로 새 정부를 준비하고 대통령직을 정식으로 맡게되면 헌법정신을 존중하고 의회를 존중하고 야당과 협치하면서 국민을 잘 모시도록 하겠다"며 "우리 국민의힘과 국민의당이 빠른 시일 내에 합당을 마무리 짓고 외연을 넓혀 더 많은 국민들의 지지를 받게 노력하겠다"고 말했다.
