뉴질랜드 Choon & Zhen Limited(이하 C&Z, 대표 박춘태)는 “대한민국 ‘블루깨비’(대표 성현주)와 한국형 동화구연의 뉴질랜드 보급 및 활성화를 위해 비대면 업무협약을 3월 13일 체결했다”고 밝혔다. C&Z측은 “이번 업무협약의 목적은 해외에서 이뤄지는 한국어 및 한국문화교육의 효율성을 높이고자 한국형 동화구연의 보급 및 활성화를 위해 추진되었다. 양 기관은 협약을 통해 ▲뉴질랜드에 거주하는 한인동포 또는 한국어를 배우고자 하는 학습자의 한국어교육에 관한 교육프로그램 협력 ▲ 한국형 동화구연의 글로벌 사업화를 위한 연구·교육·홍보 강화 ▲한국형 동화구연 지도사 양성과정 개설 ▲ 한국형 동화 구연 교수법·워크숍 등 제반 활동 지원에 상호 협력하기로 했다”고 전하고 “‘블루깨비’는 어린이교육 멀티미디어 통합형 교육콘텐츠 플랫폼을 지향하는 단체로써, 글로벌 동화구연의 허브화를 위해 뉴질랜드 C&Z와 협업 기반을 마련하고 있다”고 알렸다.

이 업무협약과 관련, 성현주 대표는 “동화구연은 동화책을 목소리 연기로 들려주고, 그 내용을 통합형 교육콘텐츠로 학습하기 때문에 한글 교육에도 아주 효과적이다. 한국어를 배우고자 하는 한인동포 및 학습자들에게 재미있는 그림ㆍ동화를 텍스트로 하는 교재를 보급하며 학습자중심의 통합형 교수법을 적용할 수 있다.”면서 “한국형 동화 구연이 글로벌 문화로 거듭나기 위해서는 현지 나라에서 동화구연 지도사 과정 양성은 물론, 현지 실정에 맞는 동화 구연 방법을 공동으로 연구·개발하는 것이 필수적”이라고 강조했다.
C&Z 박춘태 대표는 “뉴질랜드에서 한국형 동화 구연 사업이 K-문화의 일환으로 진행되며 한국어 및 한국문화 교육과 보급에 있어서 활용 및 적용도가 상당히 클 수 있다. 뉴질랜드에서의 활성화를 위해 최선을 다 하겠다”고 말했다.
이번 협약으로 대한민국 민간자격증 지원, 한국형 동화구연을 활용한 한국어 및 한국문화 교육의 효율성 제고, 나아가 민족 정체성과 신한류 확산에도 긍정적 영향을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
