브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 조응천 더불어민주당 의원은 15일 윤석열 대통령 당선인이 청와대 민정수석실 폐지 의지를 밝힌데 대해 "목욕물 버리려다가 애까지 버리는 게 아니냐는 생각을 한다"고 우려를 드러냈다.
조응천 의원은 박근혜 정부 청와대 민정수석실 공직기강 비서관으로 재직 당시 '정윤회 문건' 파동에 휘말려 자리를 떠난 바 있다.
조 의원은 이날 MBC 라디오 '김종배의 시선집중'에서 "민정수석실을 폐지하겠다는 건 사정·정보조사기능을 없애겠다는 건데 그러면 반부패비서관실만 없애면 된다"고 밝혔다.
그는 "민정이란 게 민심을 수집하는 것"이라며 "민심을 파악하고, 고위공직자 검증, 법률보좌 기능을 하는 건데 그런 기능들은 없애면 어떻게 하느냐"고 반문했다.
이어 그는 "검찰이 오로지 사법적 통제만 받고 기능할 수 있도록 하겠다는 뜻으로 보여진다"며 "조금 곡해하자면 정식 계선을 통하지 않고도 얼마든 임기 5년동안 검찰에 대해 비공식으로 (통제)할 수 있다는 자신감의 발로로 읽힌다"고 설명했다.
조 의원은 또 '친윤'(친윤석열) 검사의 중용 가능성이 나오는데 대해 "윤 검찰총장 취임 이후 단행된 검찰 인사 때 특수부 검사들이 약진했는데 그런 인사는 처음 봤다"면서 "(윤 당선인이) 이제는 인사권자이니 거칠 게 없지 않겠느냐"고 예상했다.
그는 "검경수사권을 조정하면서 6대 범죄를 대통령령으로 정했는데, 아마 제일 먼저 바꿔 6대 범죄를 대단히 확대할거다. 그건 국회에서 심의할 필요도 없다"며 "인지수사에 능한 특수부 검사들로 깔고 6대 범죄 범위를 넓히고 예산권 주고 수사지휘권 안 받고, 그건 검찰주의 아닌가"라고 꼬집었다.
그러면서 "검경이 경쟁하는 체제로 가는데 과거 같은 수사지휘는 없고 대등한 관계에서 할 것이다. 다만 영장청구를 검찰이 계속 하면 수사했던 모든 자료가 다 들어간다. 그러면 (검찰이) 항상 우위에 있는 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
조응천 의원은 대장동 개발사업 특혜 의혹 특검과 관련해선 "국민은 뭐가 진실인지 아직도 잘 모르고 있다"며 "선거가 끝났다고 유야무야하는 건 윤석열 당선인에도 이재명 전 후보에도 좋지 않다. 의혹을 다 수사해야 한다"고 강조했다.
현직 대통령에 대한 조사가 어려울 것이란 질문에도 "특검은 가능하다. 소추를 못할 뿐이다. 대통령 본인에 대한 직접 조사는 힘들어도 그 직전까지는 가능할 것"이라고 했다.
