재단법인 고양국제꽃박람회(이사장 이재준)는 제9대 대표이사에 김운영(만 60세) 전 덕양구청장이 선임됐다고 밝혔다.

김운영 신임 대표이사는 고양시 공직자로 42년을 재직하며 공보담당관, 기획조정실장, 덕양구청장 등의 요직을 두루 거친 행정 전문가이다.
특히 온화한 성품으로 조직을 화합으로 이끌고, 업무적으로 강한 추진력과 실행력을 발휘하는 것으로 평가받고 있다.
대표이사 선임은 임원추천위원회의 1차 서류전형, 2차 직무수행계획 발표 및 면접을 통해 후보자가 추천되었으며, 지난 21일 열린 고양국제꽃박람회 이사회에서 최종 승인되었다.
꽃박람회 재단은 “코로나19 상황에서 어느 때보다 책임경영이 필요한 시기에 신임 대표이사의 풍부한 경험과 탁월한 능력을 바탕으로 고양시 화훼산업과 관광산업에 새로운 도약의 발판을 마련하길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
신임 대표이사는 재단의 종합 계획 수립과 행사 추진, 조직 운영, 재원 조달 및 집행 등 전체 업무를 총괄하게 된다.
임기는 2022년 3월 28일부터 2024년 3월 27일까지이며, 성과에 따라 2년의 범위 내에서 연임 가능하다. 고양=박정호기자
