더불어민주당 대전시당은 공천관리위원회와 선거관리위원회 구성을 마치고 6.1지방선거 체제로 전환했다.
대전시당은 지난 23일 상무위원회와 28일 중앙당 비상대책위원회 의결을 거쳐, 6.1 지방선거에 출마하는 구청장과 시·구의원 후보 공천을 위한 공천관리위원회(이하 공관위)와 재심위원회 구성을 마쳤다.
공관위 위원장은 황운하 국회의원(중구)과 원용철 목사(벧엘의집)가 공동으로 맡아 5개 구청장과 시·구의원 선출을 위한 공천 심사를 거쳐 지방선거에 출마하는 후보자를 결정하게 된다.
공관위는 황운하·원용철 공동위원장을 비롯해 외부 인사 35%(5명), 여성 50%(7명), 청년 14%(2명) 등 모두 14명으로 구성됐다.
공관위 심사결과에 이의가 있을 경우 이를 심사하게 되는 재심위원회는 모두 8명으로 구성됐으며 위원장은 박영순(대덕구) 대전시당위원장이 맡았다.
장철민(동구)의원 이 대전시당 선거관리위원장을 맡아 7명의 위원들과 당내 공정한 지방선거 관리를 총괄한다.
대전시당 공관위는 이번 주 중앙당에서 공천 룰을 확정하면 예비후보자 심사를 위한 원칙과 일정 등을 논의하고 단수·경선 후보자 결정과 경선 방법 등을 결정하게 된다.
박영순 대전시당위원장은 “대선이후 4000여명의 신규당원이 입당하는 등 민주당을 응원하고 지지하는 시민들의 뜻이 헛되지 않도록 하겠다. 시당위원장으로서 대전 전 지역의 후보들을 지원하는 데 발 벗고 나설 계획이다.”며 “늦어도 4월말까지는 시민 눈높이에 맞는 인재를 발굴, 시민들의 선택을 받겠다”고 말했다.
