고양시(시장 이재준)가 관내 건설현장에 대한 안전점검을 실시하고 산업재해를 예방하기 위해 고양시 노동안전지킴이 4명을 선발하고 지난 30일 위촉식과 발대식을 개최했다.

위촉된 노동안전지킴이 4명은 고양시 내 건설현장을 방문하고 안전수칙 준수 여부 등을 점검할 예정이다.
고양시 노동안전지킴이는 해당분야에 실무경력이나 자격이 있는 자로 선발, 구성됐다. 이들은 지난 3월 교육 및 현장 실습을 마치고 4월부터 본격적인 활동을 시작한다.
노동안전지킴이는 건설현장 점검 시 작업 상황, 안전시설물 설치 상태 등을 확인한다.
또한 현장에서 추락 위험이 있는 외부작업을 하거나 화재·폭발위험이 있는 화기사용 작업을 하는 경우 안전기준 및 절차를 준수하며 작업하는지 점검한다.

시는 노동안전지킴이가 건설현장의 자율적인 개선을 유도해 산업재해를 예방할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
