고양시(시장 이재준)가 지난 30일 김포시(시장 정하영), 고양시일산대교무료화범시민추진위원회(위원장 김천만), 김포금빛누리시민연합회, 김포검단시민연대, 김포원도심총연합회, 김포수변단지연합회(고문 홍용운)와 일산대교 항구적 무료화를 위한 민관 공동협력 협약을 체결했다.

이 협약을 통해 시는 일산대교의 항구적 무료화를 위한 정책 공유 및 대책마련 등 협력관계를 구축하고, 일산대교 무료화를 위한 시민 공감 확산운동에 참여하기로 했다.
이재준 고양시장은 “이번 협약으로 민관이 긴밀히 협력해 나가면 일산대교 무료화를 이뤄낼 수 있을 것”이라며 “무료화를 희망하는 간절한 마음을 모아 시민단체와의 실질적인 협력과 지원을 통해 일산대교 항구적 무료화가 이뤄지길 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.
김천만 일산대교무료화범시민추진위원장은 “일산대교 무료화를 꼭 성취하겠다”며 “시민 스스로 자신의 권리를 되찾기 위한 노력을 해야한다”고 말했다.
일산대교는 고양과 김포를 연결하는 한강다리이며 28개 한강대교 중 유일하게 통행료를 징수하고 있다.
