고양시는 창업기업 19개사와 함께 롯데아울렛(고양터미널점)에서 진행한 ‘스타트업 팝업스토어’를 성공적으로 마무리했다고 4일 밝혔다.
고양시 스타트업 팝업스토어는 우수한 초기 창업기업에 대형쇼핑몰에서 제품을 직접 판매하고 소비자와 소통하는 기회를 제공하기 위해 진행됐다.

참여기업은 “오프라인 매장이 없었는데 이번 사업을 통해 현장에서 소비자 목소리를 들을 수 있었다. 다른 기업과 소통하며 협업할 수 있는 기회이기도 했다”고 전했다.
시 관계자는 “팝업스토어 기간 동안 일반 소비자 뿐 아니라 바이어와 스타트업 관계자가 방문해 관심을 보였다.
기업들이 협업하는 성과도 나타나 단순한 판매 스토어가 아닌 고양시의 우수한 창업기업을 소개하고 창업 기업간 네트워크를 마련하는 기회였다”고 전했다.
한편 시는 창업하기 좋은 도시 조성을 위해 고양IR데이를 시작으로 스타트업 팝업스토어, 창업페스티벌 개최, 원스톱 창업플랫폼 구축 등 다양한 사업을 추진하고 있다. 고양=박정호기자
