임용식은 신규소방공무원 36명을 대상으로 개최됐으며, 임용장 수여, 선서문 낭독 순으로 진행됐다. 이번에 임용된 소방공무원은 일반 23명, 구조 4명, 구급 6명, 소방 관련학과 1명, 향해사 1명, 화학 1명이다.
특히 임용된 소방공무원은 지난해 소방공무원 채용시험에 합격하여 중앙소방학교에서 15주간의 교육을 이수했으며, 4주간의 실습을 거쳐 현장 부서로 배치돼 시민들의 안전을 책임 진다.
신규소방공무원 대표 고해찬 소방사는 “창원시민의 안전을 위해 시민들이 있는 곳이면 어디든지 달려가 최선을 다하는 소방공무원이 되겠다” 말했다.
