불기 2566년(2022년) 4월 24일 일요일 오전 10시 장군면에 위치한 대한불교 조계종 영평사 마당에서 부처님 진시사리 영평보탑 봉안법회(奉安法會)가 열린다.
이번 부처님 진시사리 봉안법회(奉安法會)는 지난 2019년 가을로 예정됐었으나 코로나19 팬데믹으로 미뤄졌다.
영평사는 완전한 일상은 회복되지는 않았으나 더 이상 미룰 수 없어 이 재난 소멸을 담아 봉안 법요를 24일 봉행한다고 12일 밝혔다.
영평사 관계자는 "많은 대중들이 참여해 일체중생 만세영평(萬世永平)을 함께 발원하는 공덕을 짓는 시간이 되길 바란다."고 말했다.
한편, 영평사는 마곡사의 말사로, 문화재급 6동의 전통 건물과 3동의 토굴을 갖춘 대한민국 전통사찰 제78호 수행 도량(道場)이며, 한 번이라도 다녀가거나 절 이름을 생각하기만 해도 최고의 행복을 얻으라는 원력으로 영평사라고 한다.
