고양시가 한국항공대학교와 함께 ‘SW(소프트웨어)중심대학 2차년도 사업’ 중 산학 협력 프로그램에 참여할 16개 기업을 확정하고 사업을 추진한다고 14일 밝혔다.
‘SW(소프트웨어) 중심대학 공모사업’은 4차 산업혁명에 필요한 소프트웨어 인재 육성을 위해 2021년 과기부가 주관한 국비 지원 공모 사업이다.
작년 한국항공대학교와 함께 선정된 고양시는 국비 총 55억 원을 지원받아 산학 협력 프로그램을 추진하고 있으며 올해 2년차 사업 실행을 앞두고 있다.
시에 따르면 관내 4차 산업혁명 기술을 보유한 기업이 작년에는 2개 선정됐으나 올해는 8개 기업으로 4배 늘어난 것으로 나타났다.
선정된 관내 기업은 고양시 매칭 보조금을 통해 300만원, 국비 지원금까지 포함하면 총 800만원의 연구활동비를 지원받게 된다.
또한 항공대학교 교수와 학생들로 이루어진 팀이 기업이 자체적으로 해결하기 힘든 문제들을 연구하여 솔루션을 제공하고 기업 경쟁력 강화에 도움을 주는 프로그램을 운영한다.
이를 위해 소프트웨어학과 교수 9명, 항공교통물류학부 교수 1명 등 총 10명의 교수진과 3, 4학년 학생 연구원 96명으로 구성된 연구 인력이 각 기업에 배정된다.
시 관계자는 “이번 산학협력이 관내 소프트웨어 기업의 기술 변화 대응력을 키우는 데 도움이 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다. 고양=박정호기자
