김정섭 공주시장이 지난 15일 시가 추진중인 기반시설 및 주민편의시설 등을 둘러보고 사업 추진 현황을 점검했다.
이날 김 시장이 방문한 곳은 월송동 일원에서 진행 중인 ▲송선농공단지교차로~송선교차로 도로확장사업 ▲금흥게이트볼장 신축 이전 사업 ▲제2호 세대통합 어르신놀이터 조성사업 등 3개 현장이다.
먼저 김 시장은 송선도로 현장을 찾아 시설물을 점검했다. 공주시 금흥동 고향칼국수부터 충청남도 종합건설사업소 앞까지 기존 2차선 도로를 4차선으로 확장(연장 442m, 폭 24m)하는 도로확장사업은 오는 6월 준공을 앞두고 있다.
이 구간이 준공되면 행복도시~공주2구간 도로 확장이 마무리되면서 차량 병목현상이 크게 해소될 것으로 기대된다.
이어 김 시장은 금흥게이트볼장 신축 공사 현장을 찾아 주민들이 불편이 없도록 최선을 다해줄 것을 당부했다.금흥게이트볼장은 시비 6억 원이 투입되는 연면적 488.6㎡, 규모의 체육시설로 상반기 완료된다.
