이창호 탄소중립문화대사(CICEF)가 지속가능한 발전 살아 있는 생태지구를 건설하기 위한 해법을 제시한 '생태문명 : 우리의 미래, 지구의 생명'이 생태환경 분야에서 TOP 100 4주째 베스트로 이어지고 있다.
인류문명의 발달과 함께 인간의 생산 활동으로 생기는 각종 공해와 폐기물로 인해 환경이 오염되고 파괴되어 원래의 상태로 되돌릴 수 없는 지경에 이르렀다. 인류가 화석에너지의 사용을 줄이고 공해 발생이 없는 청정 에너지를 개발해야하는 이유다.
이 책은 생태문명으로의 전환을 위해 생태문명의 정의와 역사, 필요성에 대해 이야기하고 있다. 또한 새롭게 뜨고 있는 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조)에 대한 대비, 국제 생태환경의 실태와 정책 등도 다룬다.
저자는 “생태문명의 출현은 기후위기와 대량멸종, 생태적 불평등을 야기한 산업문명의 사상적 기반인 인간중심주의에서 벗어나 생명중심주의 문명을 만들려는 의도에서 출발하게 됐다.” 덧붙였다.
저자는 이창호스피치리더십연구소 대표로 있다. 지은 책으로 2011년 문화체육관광부의 우수학술도서 선정작 '아동의 의사소통교육', '중국문화를 알면 중국이 보인다(中華)', '안중근 평전' 등 40여권이 있다.
