고양시 사리현IC 주변 식사동 일대에 추진 중인 시도81호선, 남측 도로개설공사가 순조롭게 추진되고 있다.
시는 지장물 및 편입 토지 보상비용 80억 원이 제1회 추가경정 예산에 의회승인을 받았다고 밝혔다.
시도81호선 도로개설공사 주변은 창고 및 공장, 주거시설이 밀집되어 있다.
또한 고봉동 지역을 잇는 기존 주요도로인 견달산로가 편도 1차로로 도로망이 부족하고 서울~문산간 고속도로의 사리현IC의 개통으로 교통량이 증가해 교통난을 겪고 있는 곳이다.

이에 시는 견달산로를 대체하는 시도81호선에 총사업비 400억 원을 투입해 1, 2구간별로 나눠 사업을 추진하고 있다.
식사지구 끝에서 시작되는 1구간 360m(왕복 4차로)은 사업비 약 124억 원을 투입하여 2020년에 보상을 완료하고 2021년 4월에 공사를 착공해 올해 5월 준공을 앞두고 있다.
2구간 740m(왕복 2~4차로)도 사업추진을 위해 실시설계를 완료하고 실시계획인가와 협의 보상을 진행하고 있다.
시는 보상되지 않은 지장물 및 토지에 대해 경기도 토지수용위원회에 수용재결을 요청할 예정이었으나 예산부족으로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있었다.
그러던 중 제1회 추가경정 예산에 80억 원을 추가 확보해 총 190억 원의 예산으로 수용재결 신청이 가능하게 됐다.

시는 금년 상반기 내에 토지 보상을 완료해 보상이 완료된 구간부터 우선 착공하는 등 조속히 사업을 추진하여 2023년 12월 사업을 마무리할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
한편 시도81호선 도로개설구간과 연계해 서울문산고속도로(주)와 고양시가 추진 중인 시도82호선(사리현로) 도로 확포장 공사도 사업 추진에 속도를 내고 있다.
시는 완공될 경우 도로망 구축에 시너지 효과와 함께 교통난이 크게 해소될 것으로 기대된다.
시 관계자는 “추경 80억 원 확보로 토지 및 지장물 보상비 부족으로 인한 사업 장기화에 대한 우려가 해소됐다.
