장종태 더불어민주당 대전시장 예비후보가 경선 선거대책위원회 출정식에서 각계각층의 지지를 등에 업고 경선 통과는 물론 본선 승리를 확신했다.
장종태 선거캠프는 20일 중구 용두동 선거사무소에서 1000여 명의 지지자가 참석한 가운데 경선 선대위 출정식을 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.
장종태 선대위는 대전지역 각계각층의 장종태 지지자를 중심으로 1만여 명 규모로 구성됐다.
경선 선대위 총괄 공동상임위원장은 선병렬 전 국회의원과 김기복 ㈜닥터이엘회장이, 상임위원장은 김진원 전 서구문화원장, 송태준 민주당 대전시당 부위원장, 임종열 전 대전시체육회 사무처장, 신관순 대한미용사회 서구지회장 등이 임명됐다.
공동위원장은 고영덕 전 KT국장, 권재구 새희망포럼 상임이사, 김용수 대전바둑협회 부회장, 김정귀 대전시민교통정책협회장, 신문균 전 민주당 대전시당 고문 등이, 총괄선대본부장은 이창기 전 대전발전연구원장이 맡았다.
선병렬 총괄 공동상임위원장은 환영사를 통해 “무능한 행정력을 정상화해야 한다”며 “대전시정을 다시 되돌리기 위해서는 장종태가 적임자”라고 강조했다.
이날 민주당 소속으로 지방선거에 출사표를 낸 김인식, 송석근, 이선웅, 유지곤 서구청장 예비후보, 김신웅, 김영미, 김연풍, 박수빈, 박혜련, 채계순 대전시의원 예비후보, 서다운, 손도원, 신혜영, 이원배, 정능호 서구의원 예비후보, 유은희, 최영희 중구의원 예비후보 등이 참석해 힘을 실었다.
장 후보는 인사말을 통해 “대전시장선거 필승카드인 저 장종태에게 대전을 맡겨 달라. 더 강한 대전을 만들겠다”며 “경선 통과는 물론 대전시민과 당원에게 본선 승리를 안겨드리겠다”고 자신했다.
이어 “강력한 추진력과 검증된 실천력으로 ‘후퇴하는 대전’을 다시 전진하도록 만들겠다”고 강조했다.
한편 더불어민주당 중앙당선거관리위원회는 오는 22일부터 25일까지 대전시장 경선 투표를 진행한다. 경선은 국민참여경선방식(권리당원 50%, 안심번호 선거인단 ARS 50%)으로 치러진다.
