파주시는 9일 별관 컨퍼런스룸에서 ‘조선최초 임진강 거북선 콘텐츠 활용방안’ 연구용역 착수보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
보고회는 과업 계획, 연구방향 및 콘텐츠 활용방안 관련 논의, 자문 순서로 진행됐다.
이번 연구용역을 통해 조선 최초 임진강 거북선의 활용방안을 2023년 실물건조 전에 미리 확보하여 거북선을 널리 알리고, ‘임진강 거북선 AR시스템, 메타버스를 포함한 실감콘텐츠 제작’ 등을 추진하여 파주의 실증역사인 임진강 거북선을 대외적으로 널리 알리는 계기로 삼을 전망이다.

또한, 자문위원들은 현재 진행중인 ‘임진강 거북선 복원 프로젝트’의 현황을 분석·진단하고, 국내·외 전통선박 콘텐츠 활용 사례 분석을 통해 향후 추진전략을 마련할 예정이다.
